Krishnavataram declared tax-free in Uttar Pradesh by CM Yogi Adityanath

Krishnavataram has received a major boost at the box office as the Uttar Pradesh government has declared the film tax-free in the state. The announcement was made by Yogi Adityanath, marking a significant recognition of the film’s growing popularity and cultural impact.

The decision is expected to help the film reach a wider audience, especially among families and younger viewers, while strengthening its successful theatrical run. The move is also being seen as an endorsement of the film’s themes, rooted in Indian culture and heritage.

Along with granting tax-free status, the Chief Minister reportedly directed the Information Department to organise special screenings across districts in Uttar Pradesh so that children and young audiences could connect more deeply with Indian traditions and mythology.

A special screening attended by members of the film’s team was also held in connection with the announcement. The event saw the presence of producer Sajan Raj Kurup, director Hardik Gajjar, lead actors Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana, along with producers Shobha Sant and Poonam Shroff Gajjar.

The film has been drawing appreciation for its large-scale visuals, music, storytelling, and fresh cast. Apart from Siddharth Gupta and Sanskruti Jayana, the ensemble also includes Sushmitha Bhat and Nivaashiyni Krishnan in important roles.

Directed by Hardik Gajjar, Krishnavataram is presented and produced by Creativeland Studios Entertainment and Athashrikatha Motion Pictures. The film is planned as the first chapter in a three-part cinematic franchise and is currently running in theatres.
