Hrithik Roshan has been busy producing the War sequel alongside Jr. NTR, and fans are eager to see more of him in the blockbuster action thriller series. However, Roshan is also actively searching for more interesting projects to work on and Will Smith’s iconic thriller I Am Legend has caught his eye.
As per media reports, Hrithik Roshan has secured the rights to remake the classic apocalyptic thriller I Am Legend in Hindi. While the project is in the nascent stage, the actor is interested in exploring possibilities to adapt the Hollywood blockbuster for the Indian audience. While it is still uncertain whether Hrithik will take the lead in the movie or stay on the production end, he has been interested in the realm of post-apocalyptic cinema. He was earlier in discussions with filmmaker Kabir Khan for a similar project but it didn’t see the sun due to creative differences.
Meanwhile, Hrithik Roshan also has the superhero sequel Krrish 4 in the pipeline and the father-son director-actor has been working on the highly anticipated project for the longest. Bankrolled by Rakesh Roshan and helmed by Karan Malhotra, Krrish 4 is slated to go on the floors next year.
In I Am Legend, Will Smith portrays scientist Robert Neville, an uninfected survivor of a catastrophic biological war that has turned the rest of humanity into vampire-like mutants. By day, Neville roams the desolate city, hunting the infected while they lie dormant. By night, he fortifies his home against their relentless attacks, clinging to the hope that he might one day find a cure—and that he’s not truly alone in the world.
