Farhan Akhtar breaks silence on Don 3 fallout as Ranveer Singh agrees to pay 10 crore

The fallout between Ranveer Singh and the producers of Don 3 appears to have reached a resolution, with the actor reportedly compensating them for the losses incurred after his exit. Now, Farhan Akhtar has opened up about the episode and its aftermath.

What initially began as a promising collaboration between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar eventually took an unexpected turn when the actor stepped away from the third instalment of the Don franchise after participating in pre-production. Following his exit, the producers approached the Producers Guild of India to seek compensation.

Addressing the situation, Farhan reflected on the unpredictability of filmmaking, stating that nothing can be taken for granted until a film is actually completed. He described the experience as a reminder to expect the unexpected in the industry.

He also shared that while his journey as a filmmaker has largely been smooth and fulfilling, challenges like this are part of the process. According to him, phases of difficulty are inevitable and should be taken in stride, especially after a period of success.

Reports suggest that Ranveer Singh has compensated the producers with Rs 10 crore as part of the settlement. In addition, he is said to have offered them a stake in his next film, tentatively titled Pralaay.

The development comes at a time when Ranveer is enjoying the success of Dhurandhar The Revenge and is said to be carefully choosing his upcoming projects. As per reports, he is keen to avoid repeating similar roles and has asked filmmaker Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of Pralaay.

With the dispute seemingly resolved, both sides are now expected to move forward, bringing closure to one of the more talked-about industry developments in recent times.
