A large number of movies are released every year and they compete with each other to dominate at the box office since the release slots are limited. Filmmakers often juggle release dates to find the most suitable slots to maximise the revenue of their films. Sometimes these clashes take dramatic turns when two big movies release on the same date and it gets worse when a father has to compete with his own son.

chehre Amitabh Bachchan

Rumi Jafry directorial thriller Chehre starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead had earlier announced its release date to be 21st February 2020. Bankrolled by Anand Pandit, Chehre will bring Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together on the big screen for the first time, while Rhea Chakraborty and Siddhant Kapoor will be seen in pivotal roles.

Anurag Kashyap Abhishek Bachcan

On the other hand, when Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor starrer dance drama Street Dancer 3D pushed its release date to the Republic Day, director Anurag Kashyap postponed his untitled movie starring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead role, which earlier had a release date of 24th January 2020. As per the latest report, Anurag Kashyap’s untitled film will now release on 21st February as well.

This results in a possible clash between the Senior and Junior Bachchan at the box office unless one of their makers withdraw the release date of their respective movie. If not, the audience will have a great option to spend their weekend time at the movie theatres.
