The makers of Golmaal 5 have denied recent reports claiming that the Ajay Devgn-led comedy will arrive in theatres on December 4, 2026. Issuing an official clarification, the production team described the reported release date as false and maintained that no such announcement has been made.
The response follows speculation that Golmaal 5 would take over the December release slot previously associated with Ranger. The reports also suggested that the move could result in a three-way box office clash involving Prabhas’ Fauzi and Akshay Kumar’s untitled film with director Anees Bazmee.
A spokesperson for Rohit Shetty Picturez stated that the speculation surrounding the release date was completely inaccurate. The team clarified that its current priority is completing the film and delivering an entertaining experience for audiences.
The statement further explained that all updates connected to the project, including its theatrical release date, will be shared only through the production house’s official channels and at an appropriate time.
The makers also requested that unverified or misleading information about the film should not be circulated. With the production house rejecting the December 4 reports, the theatrical release plans for Golmaal 5 remain officially undisclosed.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, the film brings Ajay Devgn back to the popular comedy franchise. Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor will also return for the latest instalment.
Akshay Kumar is joining the franchise in a major new role. The film will also mark the return of Sharman Joshi, who appeared in the original Golmaal released in 2006 but was absent from the subsequent instalments.
