Salman Khan is back at the microphone for Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. The actor shares vocals with Muskaan on the film’s fifth song, which debuted on November 4. Sajid Khan wrote the lyrics and composed the music.
The video cuts between Salman recording his vocals and Chitrangda Singh playing guitar in a red sari. The setting then shifts to an aircraft hangar, where the pair dance together. Chitrangda plays Salman’s wife in the film, their first on-screen pairing.
The track adds a lighter number to a soundtrack that already includes Chand Dekh Lena and the patriotic Jai Hind. Salman has sung for films before, including Hangover from Kick and Main Hoon Hero Tera from Hero.
Apoorva Lakhia directs the military drama, which was originally titled Battle of Galwan and draws on the 2020 clash in the Galwan Valley. The makers have yet to announce a revised theatrical release date.
