Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan became a celebrity face much before she started her career and it was certain for years that she will be making a debut in Bollywood soon. After working in many critically acclaimed short films and projects, Suhana gave her nod for her much-awaited debut in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial The Archies co-staring Khushi Kapoor and Agastya Nanda and the movie finally went on the floors.
Months ago, a live-action movie based on the popular comic series, The Archies, was announced as the first solo outing of Zoya Akhtar’s production banner, Tiger Baby Films, and the fans have been eagerly waiting to learn more about the project. It was earlier confirmed that the movie will mark the debut of not one but three star kids and the movie went on the floors on April 18, Monday.

Confirming the commencement of shooting, producer Reema Kagti took to her Instagram handle to share the clapboard of the project for the first shot and first take. “#Archie’s #shootstarts #TigerBaby’s first solo production #partnerincrime @zoieakhtar @Netflix,” the caption of the post read as she confirmed the filming of The Archies. If reports are to go by, Agastya will be seen playing the titular role of Archie Andrews in the movie, while Khushi and Suhana will be seen as Betty and Veronica.
While Zoya Akhtar made the announcement of the official adaptation of The Archies for the streaming giant, Netflix, she is yet to confirm the speculated cast of the three debutants. However, it has been certain that Suhana, Khushi and Agastya will be playing some key roles in the movie with the photo leaks.
