Bollywood’s beloved Shah Rukh Khan is teaming up once again with director Siddharth Anand after their blockbuster success Pathaan. The duo’s latest venture, King, promises to be an action-packed spectacle, slated to go on floors in March 2025.
Sources close to the project reveal that King has been in meticulous pre-production for over six months. Siddharth Anand and his team have conducted extensive location scouting worldwide and collaborated with internationally renowned stunt directors to craft groundbreaking action sequences.
The film will feature Shah Rukh Khan in the titular role, with Suhana Khan playing a pivotal part in the story and Abhishek Bachchan stepping into the antagonist’s shoes. Produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix, King is written by Sujoy Ghosh in collaboration with Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya, while Abbas Tyrewala is on board as the dialogue writer.
“King has some of the most explosive action sequences ever written for Indian cinema,” shared a source. “The film will be shot across stunning global locations, including several unexplored European countries, to deliver a cinematic experience that rivals international standards.”
This project marks a reunion for SRK, Siddharth Anand, and Abbas Tyrewala, following their success with Pathaan. The film will reportedly follow a 6-7 month shooting schedule, with a planned release in 2026. Adding to the excitement, the filmmakers are in talks with an A-list actress to star opposite Shah Rukh Khan, with an announcement expected soon.
