The pop band Sanam has lately released a playlist of recreations of classic songs, called “Sukoon-E-Sanam”. Over the period, the band has done some remarkable original work, but their recreated numbers have also brought them immense popularity. Band member Venky S. admits that they always want their music to do well, but once they release a song, they decide to forget about it and work on the upcoming one.

The singer believes that every artiste wishes that their songs should do well when they put them out there on the platform. But Sanam as a band focuses on the process of producing it. They do what feels good in the moment and how they get there. Once the band release a song, they forget about it and look forward to working upon it on the next. The band enjoys organic growth. They also reveal that some of their songs that didn’t do well previously when they have released them have ended up suddenly being pick up and become the most-watched videos for a few months. For them, it keeps changing and evolving so they don’t bother to think over something that’s not in their control.

Additionally, Samar Puri says that the process of making music, shooting it and its presentation is the most important thing. They enjoy working on different ideas before they can finalise a zone for each song, to thinking and executing different visual ideas for each of their songs. They find happiness in seeing how their efforts, in turn, affect individuals during good times and tough times and ultimately it makes them feel like they are on the right path.

Reflecting upon the band, Sanam Puri finds the band to be like family. He says that they connect in many more ways than just music and support each other, help each other grow and shine. Besides this, he says that each one of them has their own struggles and needs space sometimes but the love and strength they have together is beyond anything else.
They particularly want to see more bands come up. The key to their success they say is, that they continue to do what they love and we get even stronger when they do this in unity.

The band talks about their playlist of their new album. Bandmember, Keshav Dhanraj reveals that they receive messages from many fans who appreciate the importance of their music in their lives during the pandemic and how their songs have impacted their lives during the pandemic.
