Indian entertainment industry puts its money on the best selling concept and the industry has been witnessing a high trend of remakes and biopics which is still in motion. Meanwhile, the latest trend in the industry is working around mythological stories. Many filmmakers have already announced their big-budgeted projects in the last few months and Baahubali‘s writer, KV Vijayendra Prasad, joined the bandwagon recently with his film titled Sita.
It was earlier informed that Vijayendra Prasad has conceptualised a movie that is said to be mounted on a similar scale to the Baahubali franchise. While Kareena Kapoor and Alia Bhatt are currently the top contenders to play the titular lead, a source close to the development of the movie suggests that Ranveer Singh has been approached by the makers to play the demon king, Raavan.
While the report suggests that Ranveer Singh has shown his interest in the concept but he is yet to take the final call. Meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan has also loved her part and waiting for the narration to give a go-ahead to the project. Ranveer and Kareena were to collaborate earlier in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, however, the lead was later played by Deepika Padukone.
