Rajinikanth’s Jailer 2 has passed the ₹400 crore mark at the Indian box office, with its estimated domestic gross reaching ₹416 crore in 10 days. A strong second Saturday helped the film clear the milestone, adding approximately ₹26 crore to its collections.
That follows a ₹16 crore second Friday, with Saturday’s business rising by roughly 60%. Compared with the ₹52 crore collected on its first Saturday, the latest figure represents a 50% drop week on week.
The sequel is now the fourth Tamil film to cross ₹400 crore gross in India, joining 2.0, Jailer and Leo. Among those titles, it currently stands second behind 2.0, with the rest of its theatrical run still ahead.
Tamil Nadu remains its biggest domestic market. The film has earned an estimated ₹155.50 crore gross in the state, moving past the ₹150 crore milestone. Current projections place a ₹200 crore finish within reach, although that remains a forecast rather than a confirmed collection.
Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have contributed approximately ₹78.50 crore gross, followed by Karnataka at ₹72.75 crore and Kerala at ₹67.75 crore. The remaining Indian markets account for another ₹41.50 crore.
Karnataka is also heading towards a substantial lifetime total, with current estimates suggesting the film could finish above ₹90 crore in the state. Its final result will depend on how collections hold through the coming days.
For now, the second-Saturday rise has taken Jailer 2 beyond another domestic benchmark. All figures are approximate trade estimates and refer to gross collections, not net earnings.
