The title ‘Jaan Tere Naam’ was based on the song sung by Udit Narayan and composed by Himesh Reshammiya which was the USP of the movie. However, the makers decided to cut short the title to just ‘Tere Naam’ which was finalized before announcing the movie for a release date.
