Shruti Haasan, who impressed audiences with her role as Aadhya in the action-packed Salaar, has addressed growing curiosity about the film’s second instalment. Fans have been eagerly awaiting updates on the sequel to the Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer, and Shruti recently dropped a significant hint.
In a conversation with Pinkvilla, Shruti revealed that while she has been assured Salaar 2 is happening, the specifics remain under wraps. She said, “I don’t know the confirmed details yet. They have told me that it’s happening for sure, but when, how, and where—we don’t know yet.”
Back in October 2024, India Today reported that Prabhas had already started shooting for Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryaanga Parvam shortly after his 45th birthday. The shoot was said to include a 20-day schedule dedicated to some intense, high-octane action sequences. However, the makers have yet to officially confirm these reports.
Meanwhile, filmmaker Prashanth Neel, the creative mind behind Salaar, has expressed mixed feelings about the first instalment. In a recent interview with Kairam Vamshi, Neel admitted feeling a bit let down by his own work on the film, especially when compared to the phenomenal success of his previous venture, KGF: Chapter 2.
The director assured fans that the sequel will not only surpass its predecessor but also showcase a new level of cinematic excellence. He is currently focused on crafting a compelling script that raises the bar and compensates for any perceived shortcomings in the first part.
