After the poor performance of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’, Shahid Kapoor along side Kiara Advani is gearing up for his Hindi movie adaptation of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Telugu blockbuster ‘Arjun Reddy’ starring Vijay Devrakonda and Shalini Pandey in the lead roles.
Produced by Tseries and Cine1 Studios, Shahid and the team today revealed the first poster of the movie, that also reveals film’s title which has been locked as ‘Kabir Singh’.
Sandeep who will also be directing the Hindi adaptation, has set the base of the movie in Delhi and Mumbai. The film is essentially a love story of two medical students belonging to different castes, who face opposition from their respective families.
Kabir (Shahid) goes on a self destructive mode when his love (Kiara) is married off to another guy from her caste. However, he goes on to become a successful surgeon despite being addicted to alcohol and substance.
The film is all set to hit the theatres on 21st June 2019.
