Kartik Aaryan sustains knee injury while filming action sequence, undergoes surgery

Kartik Aaryan has undergone successful knee surgery after being injured while filming an action sequence for an upcoming project. The actor has returned home following the procedure and is currently resting as he begins his recovery.

A spokesperson for Kartik confirmed that the injury occurred during an action scene. The representative said the surgery had been completed successfully and added that the actor was recovering at home. Kartik is expected to return to the set once he has recovered sufficiently.

The incident reportedly took place during the production of Kartik’s upcoming film with director Kabir Khan. The yet-to-be-titled project marks their second collaboration following Chandu Champion.

Kartik is said to be playing a kickboxing coach in the sports drama, which is inspired by the story of kickboxer Tajamul Islam. The physically demanding character required the actor to undergo extensive preparation ahead of filming. Despite his training, Kartik injured his knee while performing one of the action sequences. He subsequently received medical treatment and was advised to rest after undergoing the surgical procedure.

The injury is expected to cause a temporary interruption to his filming commitments. However, the actor’s spokesperson has indicated that he should be able to resume work soon. An exact date for his return to the set has not been announced.

Kartik and Kabir previously worked together on Chandu Champion, in which the actor portrayed Paralympic gold medallist Murlikant Petkar. His performance in the film earned him the Best Actor honour at the 72nd National Film Awards.

The new collaboration has attracted attention following the response to their previous film. Further information about its title, remaining cast and release plans has not yet been officially disclosed.

For now, Kartik is concentrating on his recovery at home. With the operation successfully completed, the actor is expected to resume his professional commitments after receiving the necessary rest.
