After Batti Gul Meter Chalu, Shahid Kapoor is back with a bang on performance in his next. ‘Kabir Singh’ is an official Bollywood remake of Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy, which is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also directed the Telugu version.

Talking about the protagonist, Kapoor is seen in two avatars. Firstly, he is an impeccable medical student who falls in love with a fellow student and the other is an alcoholic and aggressive doctor who is failing to cope up with the loss of love in his life.

Shahid is incredibly complimenting the character of an angry, bitter, dangerous, self- destructive, rebellious guy whereas, Kiara Advani is also doing complete justice to her role of a simple and shy college student.

In the 2.43-minute trailer, we can see Kabir and Preethi in a sweet and innocent love story until something goes wrong in the picture-perfect love tale. Through the trailer, we can also figure out that Preethi is forced to marry someone else and as Kabir was madly in love with Preethi, losing her makes him a rebel with a cause.

We can easily notice that Shahid has put in a lot of effort to match up to the level of Telugu version of the same and is an “Eye treat” for all of his fans. The movie is slated to release on June 21.
