Written and directed by Milap Zaveri, Satyameva Jayate released in the year 2018 and featured John Abraham, Manoj Bajpai and Aisha Sharma in prominent characters. While the movie failed to mint success at the box office, director Milap Zaveri is ready to make another attempt as he will be directing a sequel to the actioner.
In the second instalment to the vigilante series, John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar will be paired for another action-packed thriller adventure. While the principal photography for Satyameva Jayate 2 was carried out a couple of months ago and first look posters of the leads were unveiled, Milap Zaveri states that the sequel will be better and bigger in scale.
In a recent interview with news daily Mumbai Mirror, the filmmaker confirmed that the first leg of shooting for the sequel will commence in April 2020. The sequel to the 2018 actioner will deal will be based on the same plot as it will deal with corrupt politicians, police, journalists, and the common man. The director also revealed that he plans on making more movies in the series with the lead character growing old as he tries to bring peace in the society.
Starring John Abraham and Divya Khosla Kumar in the leads, Satyameva Jayate 2 is slated to release on 2nd October 2020.
