Actor Ezra Miller is expected to admit to a reduced charge of unlawful trespassing in a Vermont case related to burglary, with the prosecution dismissing the remaining two charges against him.

Actor Ezra Miller, known for his roles in “Fantastic Beasts” and “The Flash”, is said to have agreed to a plea bargain, following allegations that he took several bottles of alcohol from a neighbour’s pantry in May. According to “Variety”, Miller was charged with burglary in August.

Police investigation revealed that bottles were taken from the homeowner’s residence, as per a police report. After gathering statements and reviewing surveillance footage, authorities determined that Miller had committed felony burglary and charged him accordingly.

NBC News reported that a court official confirmed that the prosecution and Miller have agreed to dismiss two charges, petit larceny and burglary in an unoccupied dwelling, Miller is expected to admit to unlawful trespassing on Friday in Bennington County Superior Criminal Court. Court records show prosecutors are proposing a suspended sentence of 89-90 days, plus one year of probation, and a $500 fine for Miller. It should be noted that the maximum penalty that Miller could have faced was 26 years.

Ezra Miller has encountered several controversies and legal issues in the past year, in addition to the charges in Vermont. The actor was arrested twice in Hawaii, once for disorderly conduct and harassment and another time for second-degree assault. Furthermore, Miller was also previously accused of assaulting a woman in an Icelandic bar by choking her.

Last August, Miller issued an apology and announced plans to seek mental health treatment for their behaviour. The actor was cast as Barry Allen, also known as The Flash, in the 2017 film “Justice League” and will star in the character’s first solo film, set to be released on June 23rd.
