Following the debut last year, Couture Runway Week is all set for its second season which is bigger and better. Presented by the Global Fashion Federation, Couture Runway Week is not just a platform focussed on fashion but it serves as a cancer awareness campaign as well.
Couture Runway Week has an underlying cause to leverage the platform of fashion to spread cancer awareness. The founder of the fashion event, Aarti Tiwari, said that she found the inspiration to start the cause after she watched news about Bollywood celebrities like Irrfan Khan and Sonali Bendre struggling with the deadly disease.
Apart from working as a medium to encourage cancer prevention around the world, Couture Runway Week also serves as a platform to support young talents in the respective industry. While every other fashion week focuses on celebrity designers to up their show, Aarti visions to promote young designers to showcase their talent at one of India’s most prominent fashion events.
It will be a two days event with a total of five shows which will be held on the 8th and 9th of June in Delhi. Big names in the fashion industry like Mugdha Godse, Sangram Singh and Payal Rohatgi will be the showstoppers at the fashion week while supermodels like Lakshmi Rana, Deepti Gujral, Sonalika Sahay, and Saud Khan will walk their way to fire the ramp with style.
The exhibition will kick start with Rajdeep Ranawat while the grand finale will feature Mehraab (John Marya and Arun Ahuja). The top 2 designers at the Couture Runway Week shall be given an opportunity to showcase their collection at the international platform.
Couture Fashion Week will be a visual treat to all the fashion enthusiasts while it will be a relief for the ones struggling with cancer. Nonetheless, it is an event worth the buzz and we wish Aarti Tiwari a successful fashion week.
