The fourth instalment in the multistarrer Housefull franchise released this week with an ensemble cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Bobby Deol, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, and Pooja Hegde. The trailer and tracks of the epic reincarnation comedy-drama were well-received by the audience and the movie did a fair business in the pre-festive day release as expected.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took to his Twitter account to share the first-day box office report of the Akshay Kumar starrer and wrote, “#HouseFull4 puts up a healthy number on Day 1… Biz did not grow in evening due to pre-#Diwali festivities… Day 4 [Mon] is extremely crucial, when #Diwali celebrations begin and families throng cinema halls… Fri ₹ 18.85 cr. #India biz. #HF4 (sic)”

Housefull 4 earned a decent 18.85 crore INR on its opening day and is expected to experience a decline in business today and tomorrow because of the Diwali celebrations. The movie might pick up a pace from Monday onwards and grow its business.
Housefull 4 is helmed by Farhad Samji after sexual misconduct accusations against Sajid Khan who has directed previous instalments of the franchise. On the other hand, Housefull 4 is facing a decent competition from Made In China and Saand Ki Aankh.
