Indian actor Aamir Khan had a recent outing with Laal Singh Chaddha but the movie, despite years of hype, failed to live up to the box office expectations and turned out to be Aamir’s lowest-performing movie in years. While the movie continues to be surrounded by controversies for various reasons, an apology clip has been shared by the official Twitter handle of Aamir Khan Productions.

The clip began with the words ‘Michami Dukkadam’ which roughly translates to ‘may all my improper actions be inconsequential’. In the 27-second clip, a voice can be heard asking for forgiveness with the subtitles which roughly translates to the following: All of us are human beings and we only make mistakes. Sometimes through our words and sometimes by our actions, at times we do it without knowing and at times when we are angry. We also hurt people with our jokes and sometimes without talking. If I have hurt your feelings in any way ever then I ask for your forgiveness with my heart, promise and being.

The clip ends with ‘Michami Dukkadam’. While the video has been shared over the official handle of Aamir Khan Productions in the middle of the ongoing controversies, the fans suspect the account has been hacked and they have valid reasons. The voice in the video clip is not Aamir’s as well as the background music is from Shah Rukh Khan’s movie Kal Ho Na Ho. If the two reasons are not enough to suspect the authenticity of the video, the subtitles have major typing errors, one of them being ‘insane’ in place of ‘insaan (human)’.

Helmed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is an official remake of the classic Hollywood drama Forrest Gump which features Tom Hanks in the lead. The Hindi remake also reunites Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan after years but all the hit factors failed to bring the audience to the ticket counters amid calls for a boycott.
