Veteran Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan has been discharged from Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital following a successful angioplasty procedure. The 79-year-old actor was admitted on Friday, March 15, where doctors swiftly addressed a clot in his leg through the necessary surgery.

A source close to the family revealed that Amitabh Bachchan is now recuperating at his Mumbai residence and is in high spirits. As per Times Now, the source shared that he is gearing up to watch the ICC cricket match, accompanied by his son Abhishek and grandson Agastya.

Prior to his hospitalization, the 81-year-old actor had expressed gratitude on social media with a cryptic post. In his blog, he conveyed his thanks for the prayers, love, and affection from his fans and followers.

On the professional front, Bachchan recently starred in the film Ganapath alongside Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon. Looking ahead, his upcoming projects include Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, which features a stellar cast including Prabhas, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
