Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan’s Haiwaan has crossed the 10,000-ticket mark in advance booking ahead of its theatrical release on September 11, 2026. The crime thriller has begun attracting bookings across India, although its initial pre-sales indicate that it could have a relatively slow start at the box office.
As of 10 am on September 10, the film had sold approximately 10,400 tickets for its opening day. These sales generated an advance-booking gross of around ₹26 lakh across India, excluding blocked seats.
The film has currently secured approximately 3,200 shows across the country. Its average ticket price is reported to be between ₹247 and ₹250. More cinemas are expected to open bookings as the film moves closer to its first-day screenings.
One of the challenges facing Haiwaan is the availability of screens. Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur: The Movie continue to occupy a significant number of shows, leaving exhibitors to divide available screenings among the three films. This competition could restrict the number of shows allocated to Haiwaan, particularly during its opening day.
Despite the limited initial response, the final day before release could bring increased activity at the ticket counters. The advance-booking gross is expected to move towards the ₹1 crore mark if ticket sales gain sufficient momentum before the first shows begin.
The film reunites Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan on the big screen after 17 years. Their previous film together was the 2008 release Tashan. Haiwaan also marks Akshay Kumar’s latest collaboration with director Priyadarshan, with the pair moving into the crime-thriller genre for this project.
The film features Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar and Saiyami Kher in important roles. Mohanlal will also make a cameo appearance.
