While Ajay Devgn is basking in the success of his latest release, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, his fans can rejoice for one more reason as the latest reports suggest that the actor has given his nod to the much-speculated Satte Pe Satta remake. The remake made headlines after renowned filmmakers Farah Khan and Rohit Shetty announced a collaboration for the project. However, the movie hit the back burner after shuffling the lead actor.

While media reports confirmed that the much-hyped remake has been postponed after not finalizing the actor to step into the shoes of Amitabh Bachchan’s character from the original movie of the same name, the latest reports contradict the former. As per the sources close to the development of the project, Ajay Devgn has given his nod to the project which is to be helmed by Rohit Shetty.

Ajay Devgn recently started shooting for SS Rajamouli’s next, RRR, and will soon start preparations for Golmaal 4. Once the shooting schedule for the comedy-drama is finalized, the actor will give his dates to Satte Pe Satta remake. Earlier the movie was offered to Hrithik Roshan but he walked out of it due to its script and other work commitments. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma, who was approached to play the female lead, also chose to walk out after Hrithik’s exit.

While the reports suggest that the remake will soon see the light, there has been no official confirmation from either side and we will have to wait a while to get our hands on an official announcement.
