Spider-Man: Brand New Day delivered a strong performance on its first Monday at the Indian box office, collecting approximately ₹27 crore gross and ₹22 crore net. The Tom Holland-starrer has now reached an estimated ₹323.50 crore gross in five days.
The film’s Monday collection is reportedly the second-highest ever recorded by a Hollywood release in India. It finished slightly ahead of Avengers: Infinity War, which collected around ₹26.75 crore on its first Monday, but remained behind the ₹37 crore recorded by Avengers: Endgame.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day began its theatrical run with approximately ₹58 crore net and ₹70.50 crore gross on Thursday. It added ₹46 crore net and ₹55.50 crore gross on Friday.
The film witnessed significant growth over the weekend, collecting ₹67 crore net and ₹81 crore gross on Saturday. Sunday emerged as its biggest day so far, with approximately ₹74 crore net and ₹89.50 crore gross.
Monday’s ₹22 crore net collection took the five-day domestic total to approximately ₹267 crore net. On a gross basis, excluding additional 3D charges, the film has accumulated ₹323.50 crore.
When the full 3D charges are included, its estimated five-day gross rises to approximately ₹356 crore. The 3D-inclusive collections stand at ₹78 crore on Thursday, ₹61 crore on Friday, ₹89 crore on Saturday, ₹98 crore on Sunday and ₹30 crore on Monday.
Some moderation in collections is expected during the remaining weekdays because the film is coming from an exceptionally high level of business. Its first-week total is currently projected to reach approximately ₹380 crore before the film attempts to regain momentum during its second weekend.
Based on its early trajectory, the film is being projected to finish with more than ₹550 crore in India. A lifetime total of ₹600 crore is also considered possible, although that will depend on how strongly the film sustains its collections over the coming days.
The film has recorded an estimated 1.10 crore admissions during its first five days. It could eventually approach two crore footfalls if its theatrical momentum continues. According to the reported comparison, only Titanic and Avengers: Endgame have previously crossed that admissions milestone among Hollywood films in India.
