Salman Khan is set to return as the host of Bigg Boss 20, with the new season scheduled to premiere on September 6, 2026. The reality show will be broadcast on Colors TV and will also be available to stream on JioHotstar.
The makers confirmed the premiere date while sharing the first glimpse of the upcoming season on social media. The announcement establishes Salman’s return to the show and offers an early look at what viewers can expect when the new group of contestants enters the house.
In the teaser, Salman makes a dramatic entrance on a horse and references his film Karan Arjun. He suggests that something associated with the film will now unfold inside the Bigg Boss house, although further details about the new season’s concept have not been revealed.
Salman’s return also confirms that he will once again lead the show’s Weekend Ka Vaar episodes. These episodes typically place the host at the centre of conversations about the contestants’ conduct, relationships and conflicts inside the house.

The new season is expected to bring together a combination of celebrities and popular personalities. The official list of participants, however, has not yet been announced.
Several television actors, digital creators and social media personalities are reportedly being considered for the show. The names currently linked to the season include Jannat Zubair, Urfi Javed, Faisal Sheikh, popularly known as Mr. Faisu, Anjali Arora, Kushal Tanwar, also known as Gullu, Ruru Thakur, Santi Sharma and Ridhima Gupta.
None of these potential contestants has been officially confirmed by the makers. The final lineup may therefore differ from the names currently circulating, with confirmation expected closer to the grand premiere.
