Indian actor Emraan Hashmi has reportedly suffered a neck injury during the filming of his upcoming spy thriller, Goodachari 2, in Hyderabad. While the actor has yet to comment on the mishap, a business associate has confirmed that Hashmi has sustained a deep cut on his neck and is expected to return to Mumbai soon.
While the severity of the injury is yet to be disclosed, the movie’s filming has been halted given Emraan Hashmi plays the key character in the production. Emraan Hashmi announced his onboarding for the spy franchise earlier this year with an exciting announcement poster and the fans have been eagerly waiting to see more of him in the blockbuster franchise. The actor expressed his enthusiasm for joining Goodachari 2, noting the script’s depth and the thrilling new direction it offers.
Adivi Sesh, who starred in and co-wrote the original Goodachari, welcomed Emraan’s addition, calling it “a new dimension to the film.” Producer T.G Vishwa Prasad echoed this excitement, promising G2 will be a visual spectacle. Producer Abhishek Agarwal added that Emraan’s role will bring a powerful presence to the story, elevating the already anticipated spy thriller.
The film follows up on the success of the original Goodachari, which starred Adivi Sesh alongside Shobhita Dhulipala and Jagapathi Babu. Emraan’s latest appearance was in the Disney+ Hotstar series Showtime, where he starred alongside Mouni Roy, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah, marking a strong return to high-stakes roles.
