Raghav Juyal’s Bhai Tera Star Hai has struggled to attract audiences during its opening weekend. The comedy film has collected approximately ₹70 lakh net at the Indian box office across its first three days and is now expected to close the weekend below the ₹1 crore mark.
The film began its theatrical run with an estimated ₹25 lakh net on Thursday. Collections remained unchanged on Friday, with another ₹25 lakh added to its total. Instead of registering the growth commonly seen on the first Saturday, Bhai Tera Star Hai witnessed a decline. The film collected approximately ₹20 lakh net on its third day, taking its cumulative domestic total to ₹70 lakh.
The Saturday drop has weakened the film’s chances of recording a meaningful improvement over the remainder of its opening weekend. Negative reviews have also presented another challenge for its theatrical performance.
Bhai Tera Star Hai arrived in cinemas alongside the Hollywood superhero film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The Raghav Juyal-starrer received fewer than 1,000 shows across India, limiting its theatrical reach amid competition from the major Hollywood release.
The comedy marks Raghav Juyal’s first feature film as a solo lead actor. Its early performance is considerably lower than that of Kill, the action drama that remains his biggest theatrical success. Kill opened with approximately ₹1.25 crore net at the Indian box office and registered growth during its first weekend. The film completed its three-day opening weekend with ₹6.10 crore net. In comparison, the ₹70 lakh collected by Bhai Tera Star Hai places it around 88.5 per cent behind Kill over the same three-day period.
Directed by Vivek B Agrawal, Bhai Tera Star Hai also features Niharika NM, Sanjay Kapoor, Niki Walia, Barkha Singh, Vivan Bhatena and Parvathy Omanakuttan. The film has been written by Vivek B Agrawal and Sudipto Sarkar.
