Saif Ali Khan opens up about surviving knife attack: “I was lying on the floor”

Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan has spoken candidly about the traumatic knife attack at his Mumbai residence, recalling the frightening moments when he feared he might not survive the ordeal.

Reflecting on the incident, the actor revealed that his first instinct was to confront the intruder. He said he reacted without thinking, and the situation quickly turned violent as the two got into a physical struggle.

Describing the attack, Saif said the intruder was armed with two knives and repeatedly assaulted him during the confrontation. He recalled that there was blood everywhere and admitted that he was terrified as the incident unfolded.

The actor also remembered collapsing during the attack and lying on the floor, uncertain about what would happen next. He said the severity of his injuries made him fear for his life.

Saif credited his household staff for stepping in during the incident. He recalled that his maid entered the room during the struggle and intervened, helping bring the situation under control.

Looking back at the experience, Saif admitted that the incident has stayed with him. While he said he would like to move on, forgiving the attacker remains difficult because of the life-threatening nature of the assault.

The actor also shared that he does not believe the intruder had initially intended to get into a fight. However, once the confrontation escalated, the situation became extremely dangerous.

The knife attack took place at Saif Ali Khan’s Mumbai home in January 2025, when he sustained multiple stab injuries while confronting an intruder. He underwent surgery following the incident and later recovered from his injuries.
