Late actor Anupam Shyam had made his name in the Indian television industry with his praise-worthy performances in serials like Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya and appearances in films like Slumdog Millionaire and Bandit Queen. The veteran actor left for his heavenly abode at an age of 63 due to multiple organ failures and his brother Anurag Shyam opens up on his last few days.
In a recent media interaction, Anurag Shyam mentioned that their family have gone through a lot in the last month as they lost two family members. Anurag claims that Bollywood actor Aamir Khan assured Anupam to give him a dialysis centre but ghosted on calls when the requirement had arisen. Anupam’s brother said that the Uttar Pradesh town had no dialysis centre and his brother couldn’t go there to meet his mother because it would have posed a health risk for him.
He further stated that the Mann Kee Awaaz: Pratigya actor approached Aamir Khan for help and he assured medical support. “Aamir Khan gave us the assurance but stopped picking our calls after a few months,” added Anurag.
Anupam was admitted to Mumbai’s Lifeline hospital on Monday where he took his last breath. Anurag also added that the health of Anupam was improving and he was taken off the ventilator. However, his blood pressure dropped sharply which led to multiple organ failures.
