Lakshya is set to collaborate with filmmaker Prosit Roy on an upcoming film that will combine romance with psychological drama. The yet-to-be-titled project is currently under development and is expected to begin filming in December 2026.
The film will present Lakshya in a layered and unpredictable role that differs from the characters he has previously played. After appearing in projects such as Kill, Chand Mera Dil and The Ba***ds of Bollywood, the actor will now venture into a story that explores a darker and more complex emotional space.
Prosit Roy, who previously directed Raakh, is expected to approach the romance genre from a psychological perspective. Instead of following the structure of a conventional love story, the narrative will combine its emotional foundation with darker and more intriguing elements.
While details about the plot remain under wraps, the project is being positioned as a blend of two genres that are not frequently brought together in mainstream romantic films. Lakshya’s character is expected to be central to this combination of romance, emotional conflict and psychological unpredictability.
Preparations for the film are currently underway ahead of the planned December shooting schedule. The filmmakers are also in the process of choosing the female lead, although no casting announcement has been made yet.
