Dharma Productions has officially dropped the much-awaited teaser for Kesari Chapter 2, the sequel to the 2019 patriotic epic Kesari. Starring Akshay Kumar, Ananya Panday, and R Madhavan in pivotal roles, the film takes on a new historical chapter, delving into the aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre—one of the darkest events in India’s freedom struggle.

While Kesari paid tribute to the bravery of 21 Sikh soldiers during the Battle of Saragarhi, Kesari Chapter 2 shifts focus to C. Sankaran Nair, a fearless lawyer (played by Akshay Kumar) who took on the British empire in the wake of the Jallianwala Bagh tragedy. The teaser opens with the chilling cries of the massacre’s victims, setting the stage for a powerful story of justice, defiance, and patriotism.

The 1-minute 39-second teaser is an emotional rollercoaster, instantly drawing viewers into the pain and fury of a nation scarred by colonial brutality. Much like its predecessor, this film aims to bring forward the story of an unsung hero whose courage shaped India’s fight for freedom.

Watch The Teaser:

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi and produced by Dharma Productions, Kesari Chapter 2 is also backed by Cape of Good Films and Leo Media Collective. The film’s producers include Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Amritpal Singh Bindra, and Anand Tiwari, with co-producers Marijke deSouza, Somen Mishra, and Vedant Baali.

With a release date set for April 18, 2025, fans eagerly await how this gripping tale unfolds. While Akshay Kumar takes centre stage as the determined lawyer, the roles of R Madhavan and Ananya Panday remain a mystery—one that will be revealed in this high-stakes courtroom and battlefield drama.
