Hrithik Roshan, one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, is currently immersed in filming the much-anticipated War 2, a part of the YRF Spy Universe. Fans of the actor are also eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the Krrish superhero franchise, and it has now been revealed that Hrithik will begin shooting for Krrish 4 in the summer of 2025, following the completion of War 2.

According to a report by Midday, the makers of War 2 plan to wrap up production by April 2025. A source close to the film revealed that director Ayan Mukerji had reserved some of the most intense action sequences for the final schedule. “The April schedule will focus entirely on fights and stunts, ensuring they surpass the action in the first film,” the source said.

Once War 2 concludes, Hrithik will transition to Krrish 4 under the direction of Agneepath filmmaker Karan Malhotra. The script, which has been in development for several years, is now ready, and the team plans to begin shooting in Mumbai and parts of Europe. A source shared, “The project will go on floors in summer 2025.”

Earlier this year, Hrithik’s father and veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan provided an update on Krrish 4. Speaking with Bollywood Hungama, Rakesh Roshan announced his retirement from directing but confirmed his role as a producer for the upcoming instalment. “I don’t think I’ll be directing any further,” he said, adding that an official announcement for Krrish 4 would be made soon.

The Krrish franchise, which began with Koi Mil Gaya and continued with Krrish and Krrish 3, has been a cornerstone of Indian superhero films. While Rakesh Roshan directed the first three movies, his return as a producer marks a new chapter for the beloved series.

Meanwhile, War 2 promises to be a high-octane action thriller featuring Hrithik reprising his role as Kabir, alongside Kiara Advani and Jr. NTR in pivotal roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the sequel to the 2019 hit War is slated for a 2025 release. Additionally, Hrithik will make a special appearance in Alpha, another movie in the YRF Spy Universe, further expanding his presence in the action-packed franchise.
