The Hindi version of Drishyam 3 has officially completed filming. Director Abhishek Pathak announced the wrap through a social media post on June 10, confirming that the much-awaited sequel starring Ajay Devgn has finished production.
Sharing a photograph from the sets, Pathak reflected on the journey of making the film and thanked the cast and crew for their dedication. He described the project as a months-long experience filled with challenges, teamwork, problem-solving, and memorable moments.
Expressing gratitude to everyone involved, the filmmaker acknowledged the hard work, trust, and commitment that went into bringing the story to life. He also noted that despite difficult and demanding days during production, the team remained focused on delivering the film.
Pathak emphasised that the film carries the passion and effort of everyone associated with it, adding that he felt fortunate to have shared the journey with such a committed group of collaborators.
The update comes shortly after the director revealed that the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3 will not be a frame-by-frame remake of its Malayalam counterpart. While both versions are expected to retain the same emotional foundation, Pathak stated that the Hindi film has been developed differently to cater to its audience. According to him, the Malayalam version leans more towards family drama, whereas the Hindi adaptation is designed as a family thriller.
The Drishyam franchise remains one of Hindi cinema’s most successful thriller series, with Ajay Devgn’s portrayal of Vijay Salgaonkar earning widespread appreciation over the years.
With filming now complete, the focus shifts to post-production as the makers prepare the film for its theatrical release. Drishyam 3 is currently scheduled to arrive in cinemas on October 2, 2026.
