Filmmaker Madhu Mantena’s mythological movie based on Ramayana has been in the headlines for its star cast and the makers are leaving no stones unturned to make it the next big thing. However, the project has been stuck at the casting stage for a long time and the makers are working to lock the cast and make an announcement soon.

According to the entertainment portal Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan recently had a joint meeting with the makers for the highly-anticipated movie and it could mark as a stepping stone in the development of the movie. As per the reports, Ranbir will be seen portraying the character of Lord Ram while Hrithik Roshan will be seen as the demon king Raavan in the Madhu Mantena directorial. However, the dotted line is yet to be signed by the superstars.

The Hindu festival of Diwali which signified the return of Lord Ram to his homeland is on the corner and the makers want to make a huge announcement of their movie on the occasion of Diwali. For the same, they are actively working to finalize the star cast and looking for an A-lister to play the Sita in the movie. If all goes well, we can see the movie going on the floors by the second half of the next year as it will be a VFX-heavy movie with lots of pre-production preparation.
