In a shocking development, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, after claiming responsibility for the killing of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique, has reportedly issued a stern warning to Bollywood star Salman Khan. The gang’s alleged aide, Shubham Lonkar, posted on Facebook, connecting Siddique’s death to that of Anuj Thapan, who was under investigation for firing shots outside Salman’s residence earlier this year and died by suicide on May 1 while in police custody.

The post from Lonkar reads: “Salman Khan, we didn’t want this war, but your actions cost our brother his life. Today, Baba Siddique’s ‘pool of decency’ is closed. At one point, he was linked with Dawood under MCOCA, and his death ties him to Dawood and Anuj Thapan across Bollywood, politics, and property dealings.” The message ends with a warning to those supporting Salman or his allies, declaring that the gang will retaliate if any harm comes to their associates.

Law enforcement has not yet confirmed the authenticity of Lonkar’s post, but they are actively pursuing him. His brother Pravin Lonkar, also implicated in the murder plot, has been arrested, while additional suspects are either in custody or on the run.

Siddique, 66, a former NCP leader, was tragically shot on Saturday night near his son Zeeshan’s office in Bandra, Mumbai. He was transported to Lilavati Hospital but was declared dead on arrival. Salman Khan, a longtime friend of Siddique, was seen paying respects to Siddique’s family soon after the incident.

Siddique was a beloved figure in Bollywood, known especially for his lavish Iftar parties, which once even marked the end of the long-standing feud between Salman and Shah Rukh Khan. Over recent years, however, Salman has found himself in the crosshairs of Bishnoi’s gang, reportedly due to the 1998 Blackbuck poaching case, where Bishnoi alleges that Salman’s actions disrespected the Bishnoi community’s religious beliefs.

Following a previous threat, an FIR was filed last year against Bishnoi and his associate Goldy Brar. Then, on April 14, two men on a motorbike opened fire outside Salman’s Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, leading to a series of arrests linked to the incident.

The police continue their investigation as the chilling threat to Salman casts a shadow over Bollywood, raising concerns about ongoing gang violence and its reach.
