Sujoy Ghosh’s much-anticipated thriller King promises to be a groundbreaking project, featuring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead and marking the first-ever theatrical outing alongside his daughter, Suhana Khan, who takes on a key role. With every update stirring fan excitement, the latest revelation is bound to thrill SRK fans: the superstar will be taking on the sleek, intense role of an assassin.

Known for crafting suspenseful thrillers, Ghosh is said to be fully invested in this high-stakes drama, blending mystery and high-octane action scenes. Rahul Raut, the film’s writer, recently confirmed on social media that Khan will play the assassin, setting up expectations for SRK to deliver action sequences akin to his powerful performances in Jawan and Pathaan. Fans are especially excited about seeing Khan channel a dark, complex character, reminiscent of his iconic 90s antiheroes in Baazigar, Anjaam, and Darr.

This announcement has sparked renewed interest in an insightful comment SRK made at the Locarno Film Festival in August 2024, where he teased his approach to playing darker roles, saying, “I think I have a new way of playing a bad guy.” His words have since gone viral, now carrying new weight as fans anticipate his return to the “baddie” persona in King.

King boasts an ensemble cast, including Abhishek Bachchan, who will reportedly portray the primary antagonist, as well as Abhay Verma from Munjya. With Suhana Khan joining her father on screen, this film promises a riveting blend of action, intrigue, and intense character portrayals.
