Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif are coming together for a movie after a while and their fans cannot keep calm. While it was earlier announced that the two will be reuniting for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, there had been no updates about Katrina’s character in the action-packed cop-drama.

Director Rohit Shetty recently appeared on Neha Dhupia’s chat show, No Filter, and revealed that Katrina Kaif will be portraying the character of a doctor opposite Akshay Kumar in the action-packed cop-drama. Earlier, Akshay Kumar did a short cameo in the Ranveer Singh starrer Simmba and his cop avatar of Sooryavanshi was introduced in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe.

Talking about Katrina Kaif, Rohit Shetty further revealed that the actress is a ‘quiz master’ and said, “She asks a lot of questions…is this okay? Is this right? I tell her she is beautiful but after a point, I just switch off.” The actress was last seen sharing screen space with Salman Khan in the period drama, Bharat.

Sooryanvanshi will be bringing Ranveer Singh’s Simmba and Ajay Devgn’s Singham in the same frame. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif will also be recreating the iconic song, Tip Tip Barsa Paani, in the upcoming actioner. Helmed by Rohit Shetty, Sooryavanshi is slated to release on 27th March 2020.
