Acting legend Irrfan Khan left for his heavenly abode in April this year but he lives on in the hearts of his fans. The actor’s untimely and unfortunate death left the entire industry in distress, we can experience his screen presence for one last time in the upcoming movie, The Song Of Scorpions, which will be his posthumous release.
Helmed by Anup Singh, The Song of Scorpions was first premiered at the Locarno Film Festival in 2017 and after years, the movie is finally releasing on the big screen in early 2021. The story of twisted love, revenge and the redemptive power of a song features Irrfan Khan in a prominent character with Iranian actress Golshifteh Farahani in the lead. The movie also stars Waheeda Rehman, Tillotama Shome, Shashank Arora, Sara Arjun, Shefali Bhushan, and Kritika Pande in key roles.

The late actor’s son, Babil Khan, took to his social media handle to share the motion poster of The Song of Scorpions with the caption, “One more time, perhaps not the last. #thesongofscorpions (sic).” Meanwhile, the producer at Paranoma Spotlight, Abhishek Pathak said, “We will be offering this film to the audiences as a tribute to the beloved star of Indian cinema. The era of cinema in India and abroad has benefitted from his acting prowess and we’re happy to have canvassed his swansong.”
