Seems like Disney is in a mood of rebooting  all our childhood favorites into a live-action movie from Aladdin, the Lion King, Marry Poppins Returns to Disney princess ‘Barbie’ which was recently announced by the makers.

Mattel and Warner Bros Pictures who have collaborated to put the iconic doll Barbie in live action, on Tuesday announced the Oscar nominated actress Margot Robbie as the lead of the movie.

Australian actress Robbie who was seen in the super hero flick Suicide squad  in 2016 and Ice-skating  in 2017 for which she even got nominated in the Academy awards  is also going to co-produce the movie under her ‘LuckyChap’ banner.

The ‘Tonya’ actress is quite upbeat to portray the dreamy life of Barbie on screen, which has been a thing of fantasy and playing for children from last many decades.

The live remake of the movie is also going to mark the entry of newly formed Mattel films by the Mattel Company that holds the franchise of the most celebrated Barbie Dolls in the world. The movie is the first venture of the Mattel films in collaboration with the Warner Bros.

Before Margot, The Princess Diaries actress Anna Hatheway and comedian Amy Schumer were rumoured to take the lead roles.  The movie is yet to be titled and further details  are to be revealed in days to come. Stay tuned for all the necessary updates.
