Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt had recently revealed that the year has been unpleasant to her due to multiple reasons and another incident has been added to her unfortunate year. According to the latest reports, a criminal case has been filed against the actress along with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali and writer Hussain Zaidi in relation to the upcoming biographical drama, Gangubai Kathiawadi.
Based on the book of Hussain Zaidi, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, Gangubai Kathiawadi has been in production for over a year due to the ongoing pandemic crisis and Alia Bhatt resumed filming in October. Meanwhile, one of the adopted sons of Gangubai, Babuji Rawji Shah, has filed a case against the makers of the movie and the book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, for infringement of his privacy, liberty, and self-respect.
In the complaint, Babuji Rawji Shah has asked to halt the production of the movie and remove certain chapters from the book as well as restrain the publication and circulation of the copies. The complainant has claimed that the first look of the movie released earlier has resulted in harassment against him in his locality and he has even suffered a leg fracture.
Helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gangubai Kathiawadi features Alia Bhatt in the titular character and is slated for a release in the upcoming year.
