The decision to cast Ben Affleck as the caped crusader in the extended DC Universe was heavily criticized. However, after his portrayal of the dark knight of Gotham, he has been one of the most-loved and followed onscreen Batmans. However, after playing the comic-book based superhero character in Justice League in 2017, he decided to retire from the character.

Ben made a comeback in DCEU with Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League and reports have it that he will be playing an extended cameo in the upcoming Ezra Miller’s The Flash movie as his mentor. While the news excited the DCEU fans, the latest news is a roadblock for the excitement.

According to We Got This Covered, Ben Affleck will be making his last appearance as the Batman in The Flash movie and retire from DCEU once and for all. The movie will feature Ezra Miller as the comic book-based superhero Flash. The rumours also have it the movie will introduce multiverse into the DCEU which was hinted at in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Reportedly, Micheal Keaton and Christian Bale have also been approached to play Batmans of different verses.
