Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan recently took to his social media handle to announce his return to the film sets after 5 months. The actor reportedly started filming for Shashanka Ghosh’s directorial Freddy and according to a latest report, the makers have finalized the leading lady.
According to a source close to the development of the project, Alaya F has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in his next. As per the reports, Alaya were in talks with the makers of Freddy since the beginning of the pre-production and has expressed her interest in the script. However, she is yet to sign the dotted line before the makers make an official announcement.
The movie to be helmed by Veere Di Wedding director Shashanka Ghosh is touted to be a romantic thriller which Kartik will be experimenting for the first time. On the other hand, it will mark Alaya’s second outing her debut movie, Jawaani Jaaneman, with Saif Ali Khan and Tabu. She also has signed another Ekta Kapoor’s production, Hindi remake of the Kannada-language mystery thriller U-Turn.
On the other hand, Kartik Aaryan has as many as six projects lined up for production. The actor will also share screen space with Kiara Advani in Sajid Nadiadwala’s next epic love story and a sequel to horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
