The comic duo of Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and filmmaker Priyadarshan have given several cult classics including Hera PheriBhagam BhagBhool BhulaiyaaDe Dana DanKhatta Meetha and Garam Masala. While the two have not collaborated on a project for over a decade, the fans can rejoice with the latest announcement as the duo is reuniting for another horror-comedy.

On Akshay Kumar’s 57th birthday, the actor and the filmmaker announced their upcoming and highly-anticipated horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla with an official first look. Akshay Kumar took to his social media handle to express his excitement about reuniting with the legendary film director and shared, “Thank you for the birthday love, year after year! This time, I’m thrilled to share the first look of Bhooth Bangla. Teaming up with Priyadarshan again after 14 years feels like a dream come true. This project is close to my heart, and I can’t wait to take you all on this incredible journey!”

According to sources close to the project’s development, Bhooth Bangla will be a mix of comedy, horror, fantasy and supernatural elements. Ektaa R Kapoor will be bankrolling the project and going all out to match the film’s scale with the fan’s excitement. The horror comedy is expected to begin filming in December with a start-to-finish schedule and might hit the screens in the second quarter of next year.
