Aamir Khan may share the screen with Sidharth Malhotra and Tiger Shroff in the planned reboot of the Race franchise. The project is reportedly being developed with a new cast and a different approach to the action-thriller series.
Sidharth has been associated with the film for some time, while Tiger recently emerged as another potential member of its ensemble. Aamir is now said to be considering the project after responding positively to its script.
However, the actor has reportedly not made a final commitment yet. He is believed to be closely involved in the writing process and is working with the writers to strengthen the material before formally joining the film.
The team reportedly wants the reboot to take the franchise into unexplored territory while retaining its identity as a big-screen thriller. The film is expected to feature a larger ensemble, although its complete cast has yet to be announced.
Aamir is said to be interested in the direction being considered for the story and believes that it could introduce a fresh flavour to the Race franchise. His decision is expected to depend on whether the completed script reaches the standard he has in mind.
The project will reportedly be directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya. If Aamir signs the film, it will mark his third action-thriller collaboration with the filmmaker after Dhoom 3 and Thugs of Hindostan.
The first two instalments of the franchise featured Saif Ali Khan and became known for their action, shifting loyalties, elaborate twists and ensemble casts. Salman Khan subsequently led Race 3, which moved the series in a different direction.
The reboot is now being planned as a new chapter rather than a direct continuation centred on the previous leading actors. With Sidharth and Tiger reportedly linked to the film and Aamir actively considering the script, the project could bring the three actors together on screen for the first time.
An official announcement confirming Aamir’s participation and the complete cast is still awaited.
