The release date for the highly-awaited film Zwigato, featuring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami, has been announced by Applause Entertainment and Nandita Das Initiatives. The movie will be in theatres on March 17, 2023.
Zwigato takes audiences to the lesser-explored city of Bhubaneswar, where a food delivery rider faces the challenges of ratings and algorithms. Written and directed by Nandita Das, this highly relevant film examines the lives of everyday individuals. Zwigato made its debut on the global stage at the Toronto International Film Festival, followed by its Asian premiere at the Busan International Film Festival and its Indian premiere at the Kerala International Film Festival.
The official handle of Applause Entertainment took to Instagram to share a motion poster of Kapil Sharma’s character riding on a bike and captioned it, “The most awaited order of the year is finally arriving! Zwigato. In Cinemas on 17th March. A heartwarming tale about a food delivery rider, starring Kapil Sharma and Shahana Goswami. Written and Directed by Nandita Das. #ZwigatoOn17thMarch (sic).”

Prior to its showing at the Busan Film Festival, Kapil Sharma unveiled the trailer of Zwigato on Instagram. He wrote, “After the successful world premiere at @tiff_net, Zwigato is all set to win hearts at @busanfilmfest. Here’s a sneak peek into the world of Zwigato, check out the International trailer here (sic)”.
