The famous directer-writer duo Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti  with their Tiger Baby Productions are all set to enter the web world with a wedding business based web series ‘Made In Heaven’ for the Amazon Prime Videos streaming platform.

Farhan Akhtar who is also co-producing the web show with his Excel Entertainment along with Ritesh Sidhwani , made the announcement of the same very recently. The actor might also play a cameo in the show if rumors are to go by.

Starring stellar cast like Kalki Koechlin, Jim Sarbh, Arjun Mathur, Sobhita Dhulipala, Shivani Raghuvanshi  and Shashank Arora in pivotal characters, the web show chronicles around two Delhi based wedding planners Tara and Karan who plan the extravagant  big fat weddings for the elite.

This fictitious narrative will take you on an adventurous journey of what all goes around in the preparations of these elite weddings, the wedding planning business, the ugly naked truths & secrets of the families and everyone involved.

As expected from any Zoya Akhtar project, this one too seems to be a story of the elites in all its beauty and ugliness. And we can’t wait for it to start streaming soon i.e. from March 8.

The director is currently waiting for the release of her most anticipated movie ‘Gully Boy’ starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, based on Mumbai street rappers. The trailer of which has already become a rage and is all set to be another blockbuster for the director who has ventured into an entirely different concept from her usual. The movie will be releasing on 14th February.
