Coronavirus pandemic has affected every industry without discrimination and daily wage workers of the Indian entertainment industry fall under the many who are facing the worst crisis. Amid the nationwide lockdown, daily wage workers have been struggling hard to take care of their daily financial needs and one of the biggest production houses of India has come in support.

While the entire nation is confined to their houses, people who work on daily wage basis are finding it hard to bring food on the table for their families and taking the initiative to help them, Aditya Chopra led Yash Raj Films has approached the Federation of Western India Cine Employees seeking bank account details of the daily wage workers associated with the union.

Gangeshwar Srivastav of FWICE has confirmed to a media portal that Yash Raj Films team has contacted them and asked details of the daily wage workers. FWICE has sent details of 15 thousand daily wagers to the first production house came in support of the needy. While Aditya Chopra has not confirmed the amount that Yash Raj Films will be donating to the daily wage workers, the support is indeed worth the appreciation.

Earlier, megastar Salman Khan also supported the cause and took the responsibility of 25 thousand daily wage workers of the entertainment industry in providing essentials to them and their families. Renowned filmmaker Rohit Shetty and actor Ajay Devgn have also come in support and pledged to donate 51 lakh Indian rupees to FWICE.
