Yami Gautam signs five films, Gears up for a packed lineup across genres including Aanand L. Rai’s Nai Naveli

Yami Gautam, known for her powerful performances and thoughtful film choices, is on an impressive career streak. The actor recently confirmed that she has several projects lined up, saying, “I have five films that I have locked, and one of them is up for release soon — you’ll hear about that very shortly.”

With a reputation built on strong, content-driven roles, Yami has carved a niche as one of Hindi cinema’s most dependable and versatile performers. Her upcoming slate is as ambitious as it is diverse. Among her confirmed projects is Tamasur, the much-awaited biopic on Shah Bano, slated to release this December. She also stars alongside Emraan Hashmi in Haq, which is currently in the works.

Adding to her exciting lineup is the sequel to her hit heist thriller Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga 2. Both Yami and Sunny Kaushal are set to reprise their roles in the follow-up film. While the original revolved around a daring mid-air robbery, the sequel will take the action to the seas. A source revealed, “The entire story of Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga 2 takes place on a cruise, where all the chaos begins.” Filming is expected to kick off by the end of 2025, promising another nail-biting ride for viewers.

Yami is also stepping into an entirely new genre with Aanand L. Rai’s upcoming horror-comedy Nai Naveli. Currently in advanced pre-production, the film will see her explore a fresh and quirky storytelling space, further proving her ability to adapt to any role.

With such a packed and genre-spanning lineup, Yami Gautam continues to raise the bar for female-led cinema in Bollywood, delivering both substance and style with every project.
