While the central and state governments are doing everything with their power to ensure that low-income groups do not suffer from the lockdown, Bollywood celebrities have come in support.<\/p>\n
Started by Akshay Kumar, many Bollywood celebrities have contributed to the cause and pledged to donate to the PM-CARES Fund and CM Relief Funds to help the governments fight the pandemic and help those in need. Hrithik Roshan, in addition to the donations to the government, Hrithik Roshan has been lending his support to the independent organizations who are doing their bit for the needy.<\/p>\n
Earlier, Hrithik Roshan had announced that he would be providing N95 and FFP3 masks for the BMC workers and caretakers to protect them from COVID-19. Now the actor has empowered an NGO, Akshaya Patra, to facilitate 1.2 lakh nutritious cooked meals to old age homes, daily wage workers and low-income groups across India. NGO Akshaya Patra took to its official social media handle to thank the superstar for his support.<\/p>\n
